Parking / Abandoned Vehicles

Parking is always a challenge in the City. Cars should be parked five (5) feet from a driveway. You should never park in a no parking zone, even if it is to “only run into someplace for a second”.

Most residential streets in the city have alternate side of the street parking. You should always be careful when reading parking signs as to when the changeover occurs.

In winter, during a snow emergency, cars may be required to be removed from the street. Residents must obey all parking signs and winter parking restrictions. To provide effective snow removal, the City may order that special parking restrictions be put in place. These restrictions will be announced through the media. Please refer to Appendix I: Winter Parking Rules for additional information.

CITY CODE:
Section 90-15.  Junked, abandoned or unlicensed vehicles
